Since 2010 we conduct workshops and seminars on different environmental topics. There are two big dormitories in our environmetal training center where a group of up to 20 people can stay. Two separate rooms are suitable for up to 4 accompanying persons (e.g. teachers). We offer special packages for students coming in groups. These consist of guided nature tours (including a more adventurous part on interest) based on an interactive framework providing a platform for experiments as well as a broad understanding of the cloud forest ecosystem. Our interactive approach allows students to become interested in nature and learn to appreciate its fragile equilibrium. We also offer games related to the themes being discussed. On wish we do night walks as well and handicraft work using natural material like leaves or wood. Another active part consists of nature restoration. The participants learn how to prepare compost, to do work in the tree nursery or to plant trees.
In the future a library will be put in the fourth floor of the environmetal training center and we plan to acquire binocular loupes, microscopes, and a hot cupboard for the more scientific work. For this your donation or donation in kind is more than welcome.
